Manager, Individual Giving & Donor Experience
Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Manager of Individual Giving and Donor Experience will play a key role in advancing The Banner’s fundraising strategy through digital and direct mail campaigns, donor portfolio management, donor events, and stewardship. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on execution to deliver an exceptional donor experience. The Manager will be responsible for building strong donor relationships, expanding digital fundraising capabilities, and strengthening the major gifts pipeline.
This role will develop and implement tailored fundraising strategies to acquire, cultivate, diversify, and steward donors, with a focus on creating meaningful engagement opportunities. The Manager will also design and deliver an outstanding experience for our Founding Member program while supporting donor relations and stewardship across all giving levels.

What you'll do:
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop best practices and annual plan for digital and direct mail fundraising campaigns.
- Expand digital fundraising across multiple platforms to support and exceed revenue targets.
- Enhance the organization’s digital presence to drive donor engagement and ensure messaging aligns with brand guidelines.
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor and improve the donor journey, increasing response rates, donor retention, and donor diversity.
- Establish and track key performance metrics for digital engagement, adjusting strategies for maximum impact.
Donor Portfolio & Pipeline Development
- Manage a dynamic portfolio of 50–75 individuals who qualify for the Founding Member program ($2,500+).
- Each month, identify 10–15 potential upgrades to move into the major giving pipeline ($10,000+).
- Create personalized messages and experiences for donors, using data to guide how and when we connect with them, so they feel valued and inspired to give more.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Build and deliver a first-class donor experience for the Founding Member program.
- Develop innovative donor engagement strategies and programs to strengthen relationships and grow long-term support.
- Collaborate to ensure consistent stewardship practices for donors at all levels.
Events & Donor Experiences
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of donor-focused events (both in-person and virtual) that cultivate, engage, and steward donors.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless, mission-driven events aligned with philanthropy’s event strategy.
- Curate unique experiences for the Founding Member program and other donor segments to deepen relationships and inspire increased giving.
- Oversee event follow-up to identify and build new relationships, while also deepening existing relationships.
What you'll bring:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, with an emphasis on individual giving and digital campaigns.
- Proven track record in planning events and stewarding donors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage donor portfolios, upgrade annual donors, and grow major gift pipelines.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to shape donor strategy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse donor audiences.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud NXT, Mailchimp, and DonorSearch would be a significant asset, along with experience using digital fundraising tools and web content management systems.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammates’ pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
