
Senior Business Development Assistant
The Brattle Group, a privately held, global economics consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Business Development Assistant to join our London, UK office. This position is an excellent role for a talented individual seeking broad experience in marketing and business development in a professional services setting.
Reporting to the Marketing and Business Development Manager for Europe and collaborating closely with our collegial 10+ person Marketing team, this individual will gain hands-on experience in a broad range of highly visible marketing and business development projects, as well as behind-the-scenes administrative support. They will work closely with consulting experts and other Corporate Services team members, gaining insights into Brattle’s interesting work and the vital role of the Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a flexible, team-oriented attitude and excel in a dynamic setting with multiple concurrent projects.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide day-to-day support to the Marketing and BD Manager, ensuring key deliverables, tasks, and deadlines are tracked and met.
- Maintain and update internal trackers and calendars for key BD and marketing priorities, including events, directories, and campaigns.
- Research and evaluate upcoming conferences for relevance to consultants’ expertise and target audiences.
- Support the planning and execution of conference sponsorships and speaker engagements (logistics, materials, internal coordination).
- Conduct research to identify potential BD targets using sources such as legal directories, rankings, and industry publications.
- Monitor developments affecting key clients, prospects, and competitors via tools like Google News and industry publications.
- Draft, edit, and format materials for marketing and BD use, including PowerPoint decks, practice descriptions, one-pagers, bios, and pitch content.
- Liaise with consultants to gather relevant information for inclusion in proposals and collateral.
- Coordinate with the editorial and digital teams to ensure the timely promotion of market-facing activities (e.g., conference appearances, awards).
- Track deadlines and submission schedules for key directories and awards relevant to practice groups (e.g., Chambers, WWL).
- Contribute to compiling and drafting content for submissions in coordination with consultants and senior marketers.
- Collaborate with the CRM team to ensure client and prospect records are current, consistent, and segmented appropriately for outreach.
THE CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as: Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant professional experience, including internships required
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (or similar software) required
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and independent work environment
- Takes pride in working within a high-quality, high-integrity organization and values intellectual curiosity and continuous learning
- Proactive, highly organized, and confidential project management skills
- Ability to occasionally work overtime and travel
Brattle offers a competitive benefits package, base salary, and bonus program for eligible roles based on individual and firm performance. Actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including experience and training.
