Position Overview
DCG is seeking a motivated Proposal Manager to join our growing organization! In this role, you will support the Growth team with proposal development activities, team communications, and many other critical elements of the proposal development process to position DCG as a reliable partner to federal customers across multiple departments. This is a dynamic role that may require surges of support to proposal efforts, including occasional late night and/or weekend work to meet deadlines.
Location
Fully Remote; the selected candidate will work during DCG’s core Eastern Standard Time business hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead proposal planning including but not limited to responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other related content such as oral presentations or vehicle on-ramping data calls; manage multiple projects/proposals simultaneously
- Work with leadership team, technical SMEs, pricing lead, and staffing teams to prepare for kick-off meetings and develop response strategies (win themes, pricing approach, staffing needs, etc.)
- Support the proposal development process from start to finish (analyzing requirements, establishing a schedule, leading kick-off meetings and color team reviews, developing a compliance matrix, template generation, coordinating SME input, completing final review and submission)
- Provide written content as well as copy editing and compliance support leading to full proposal production and submission
- Support other operational functions, including monitoring the release of government solicitations, documenting the status of proposals in our CRM system, and ensuring all proposal files are kept up to date
- Ensure consistency with DCG's brand message, style standards, value proposition, and business objectives
- Meticulously track and ensure accountability for action items and status updates from stakeholders within and outside DCG
- Other duties as assigned to support proposal production against established deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 3+ years of proposal management experience
- 3+ years of formal document development experience, including the submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts
- Knowledge of or direct experience with federal government contracting
- Familiarity with proposal development best practices, such as Shipley training or APMP (course completions or certifications preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) skills, including using and maintaining Word templates
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF development/editing
- Ability to work independently, adjust to shifting priorities, and turn around projects on short timelines
- Excellent organization, communication, and project planning skills, with sharp attention to detail, accuracy and quality, especially on time-sensitive projects
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing time and prioritizing workload
- Driven, enthusiastic team player confident in taking initiative and thinking creatively
- Thrives in cross-functional, matrixed, and multi-disciplinary team structures
