The Florida Panthers enter the 2025-26 season as the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions, having gone to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the past three seasons. The National Hockey League’s southernmost team, the Panthers have reached the postseason in a club-record six consecutive campaigns. The Panthers operate four facilities in Broward County, Florida: Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, the new state-of-the-art practice facility Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the renovated War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for the South Florida faithful.

 An organization with deep roots in the community, the Panthers are owned by Vincent J. Viola, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Emphasizing a culture of selfless service both on and off the ice, the Panthers pillar program ‘Heroes Among Us’ honors a United States military veteran at every game and the Florida Panthers Foundation has four main focuses including veterans affairs, children's health and education, raising awareness for the endangered Florida panther and growing youth hockey.

Job Summary:

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment, inclusive of Amerant Bank Arena (home of the Florida Panthers) and the War Memorial Auditorium, is seeking a results-driven and experienced Manager, Premium Sales. This individual will lead and oversee two teams of professionals responsible for driving premium revenue and cultivating exceptional client relationships across both venues.

The Manager, Premium Sales will play a key role in achieving revenue goals, implementing targeted sales strategies, and ensuring unparalleled premium experience for guests attending some of the biggest concerts, sporting events, and live entertainment in the country.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for Premium Seating, Memberships, and Suites across both Florida Panthers hockey and Concerts & Events at each venue.
  • Execute targeted sales campaigns that drive new business and upselling opportunities by leveraging market insights, client feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and execute sales initiatives for Concerts and Events at Amerant Bank Arena and War Memorial Auditorium that strive to sell out premium inventory at both venues.
  • Oversee the execution of prospecting, lead generation, and closing activities to achieve and exceed individual and departmental revenue goals.
  • Utilize CRM and ticketing platforms (Unify, Amplify, SeatGeek, Salesforce) to manage pipelines, track engagement, and ensure accurate reporting.

Oversee and optimize Premium inventory for Florida Panthers games, concerts, and special events; identify and report potential gaps to leadership to ensure full utilization of all premium products.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate two teams of Account Executives (Premium Sales and Concert & Event Sales) to exceed sales objectives.
  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance performance and maintain a results-driven culture.
  • Manage and support strategic outreach efforts for concerts, sporting events, and family shows across both venues.

Event & On-Site Sales Engagement

  • Oversee and participate in client tours and appointments at Amerant Bank Arena and War Memorial Auditorium as well as off-site meetings.
  • Provide hands-on support during events to ensure clients receive exceptional service and world-class experience.
  • Lead by example in representing the organization’s premium brand and commitment to excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal departments, including Marketing, Partnerships, and Event Operations, to align on sales initiatives and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Premium Service and Sr. Manager, Premium Hospitality to ensure seamless communication and client satisfaction throughout the sales and event lifecycle.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports or live entertainment sales, with a strong understanding of the B2B sales process and a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Leadership Skills: Previous management experience required with demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing sales teams, driving results, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Client-Focused: Deep commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences that uphold the “Black & Gold Standard” while building long-term relationships that drive retention and loyalty.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and forecast revenue to inform strategic decision-making and achieve sales objectives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Unify or Archtics, , Salesforce CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with the confidence to present effectively to clients, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Organization & Time Management: Strong capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field preferred.

This is an exempt (salary) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
