Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Visualization Specialist with 1–2 years of experience to join our Business Intelligence team and bridge the gap between complex data architecture and executive decision-making. Based 100% on-site at our Sunrise offices, you will work side-by-side with our analysts and leadership to solve the problem of "information overload," translating massive commercial datasets into intuitive, high-impact narratives. While we value experience in UI/UX or front-end development, we are primarily looking for a design-thinker with elite SQL and BI skills; if you bring the visual logic and technical horsepower, we will provide the industry context and the platform to see your work directly influence a championship organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build sophisticated, interactive reporting suites that serve as the primary interface for ownership and the executive team to monitor organizational health.
  • Translate complex statistical findings into compelling visual stories, ensuring the "so-what" of the data is clear and leads directly to strategic business action.
  • Apply UI/UX principles to all data products to ensure tools are intuitive, accessible, and facilitate 100% data literacy across the organization.
  • Write optimized SQL to extract and transform data from the AWS Redshift warehouse, ensuring visualizations refresh with minimal latency.
  • Establish and maintain a departmental style guide and template library to ensure a consistent, world-class aesthetic and mathematical standard across all reports.
  • Configure automated reporting workflows and threshold-based visual alerts to proactively notify stakeholders of deviations in business KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and Quantitative teams to ensure backend data models are optimized for front-end performance and logical clarity.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or information design.
  • Expert-level proficiency in leading BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Amazon QuickSight) with a portfolio demonstrating advanced data storytelling.
  • Strong ability to write complex SQL queries to join, filter, and aggregate data within a cloud warehouse environment.
  • Deep understanding of visual encoding and how to select the correct chart types to represent specific quantitative datasets.
  • Exceptional ability to present findings to high-level stakeholders, explaining technical data through a commercial lens.

Preferred:

  • Experience using Python (e.g., Plotly, Matplotlib) to create custom visualizations or automate data preparation.
  • Formal training or experience in UI/UX design, specifically for analytical software or enterprise-level tools.
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and optimizing dashboard performance against large-scale datasets.
  • Basic knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML/CSS or D3.js for bespoke web-based components.
  • A passion for sports analytics or experience in a high-volume, event-based business environment.

Team & Environment

You will join a lean, fast-moving Business Intelligence team where creativity and speed are essential. We operate in a championship-winning environment that is structured yet agile; you will often be given open-ended business problems that require critical thinking as well you to be both the architect and the builder of the solution. We are looking for a teammate who is eager to bridge the gap between technical architecture and business-driving insights.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
