Position Summary
THMA's Summer Internship Program offers a meaningful and engaging experience designed to foster professional growth and industry exposure. Over the course of 10 weeks (June 8th – mid-August), interns will participate in hands-on projects, executive engagement, and professional development opportunities that will enhance both participation and engagement.
The Catalyst Marketing & Sales Enablement Intern will work directly with the VP of Catalyst to build the external marketing and sales enablement infrastructure for THMA's Catalyst business — a suite of peer learning and advisory programs serving C-suite executives across the country's leading health systems. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare research, content marketing, and sales enablement, offering rare proximity to senior healthcare leaders and the business decisions that shape the industry.
This intern will not just produce assets — they will build the systems, templates, and frameworks that allow the Catalyst team to operate more effectively long after the summer ends. The role is designed for someone who thinks strategically, writes compellingly, and takes pride in building things that last.
A key feature of the program is in-office collaboration, where local interns will join their teams in person two days per week to build stronger connections and gain hands-on learning experiences. Interns will also take part in the Boost Program, a structured series of sessions designed to accelerate early career development within THMA. Additionally, the "Vital Voices" executive sessions will provide interns with the opportunity to engage directly with THMA's leadership, gaining valuable insights into career progression and professional journeys.
To support work-life balance, interns will have a flexible work schedule, working up to 29 hours per week with consistent hours set in coordination with their managers. At the conclusion of the program, all interns will complete an End-of-Internship Project, where they will present a PowerPoint to their teams showcasing their learnings and contributions. More details on project expectations will be shared with both interns and managers as the summer cohort approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Enablement — Developing prospect-facing program collateral, impact and accomplishment summaries, and buyer-specific talking points for each Catalyst Research program (AI Catalyst, Strategy Catalyst, and Nursing Catalyst). In addition to producing these materials, the intern will build a sales collateral library, a talking points template, and a collateral refresh calendar to ensure materials stay current and accessible.
- Conference & Speaking Strategy — Mapping the healthcare leadership conference landscape, drafting speaker abstracts and proposals for priority submissions, and partnering with Catalyst program leaders to develop compelling speaking topics. The intern will build a 12-month conference submission calendar, an abstract template library, and a speaking topic pipeline to ensure Catalyst maintains a consistent and strategic industry presence.
- Catalyst External Presence Playbook — a comprehensive handoff document that includes the conference submission calendar, populated sales collateral library, content calendar framework, and 2-3 published or publication-ready thought leadership pieces.
