We are seeking a Dental Hygienist (Part-Time) to join our Dental team; an ideal opportunity for a clinical professional who is passionate about preventive care, patient education, and improving oral health outcomes within a community-based setting.

Position Overview
The Dental Hygienist provides preventive dental care and patient education, supporting overall oral health and contributing to improved health outcomes. This role works closely with dental providers to assess patient needs, deliver clinical services, and promote preventive care practices, ensuring a positive and supportive patient experience.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Care & Preventive Services
- Provide prophylaxis, debridement, hand scaling, sealants, fluoride treatments, and radiographs
- Perform patient assessments including charting, periodontal evaluations, and vital signs
- Review medical histories and assess patient needs and conditions
- Assist in managing dental emergencies and implementing appropriate interventions
Patient Education & Care Planning
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
- Support development and implementation of individualized care plans under dentist supervision
- Promote long-term oral health through patient-centered education and engagement
Clinic Support & Operations
- Set up, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with guidelines
- Support patient flow, including triage and coordination of care
- Assist with general clinic operations and administrative support as needed
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records and reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations governing dental services
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
What You Bring
Required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current Indiana Dental Hygienist license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Knowledge of dental procedures, patient care practices, and safety standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in a community health, public health, or outpatient dental setting
- Experience working with diverse or underserved populations
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
