Regional Quality Manager - Clinical (North/South)

The Divisional Lead, Quality - Clinical provides senior leadership for clinical quality performance across assigned practices and divisions. This role partners with practice administrators, group practice directors, clinicians, and operational leaders to interpret performance data, establish improvement priorities, and implement sustainable interventions. The position is accountable for clear presentation of quality results, timely response to performance gaps, and consistent application of evidence-based, payer, and regulatory requirements.  This is a hybrid role and will have flexibility to work remote on occasion. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Present quality dashboards, trends, risks, and improvement priorities to clinic, divisional, and executive leaders.
  • Design, implement, and monitor clinical quality improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze performance data to identify variation, root causes, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop corrective action plans for missed targets, assign accountability, and monitor progress through resolution.
  • Translate quality measure specifications, regulatory changes, and payer requirements into practical workflows and education.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, analytics, information technology, compliance, and population health teams to resolve quality gaps.
  • Support leaders and care teams in adopting evidence-based standards and reliable improvement practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of improvement initiatives, decisions, outcomes, and follow-up actions.
  • Escalate material performance, compliance, data integrity, or implementation risks to appropriate leaders.
  • Build repeatable processes that improve consistency, accountability, and sustainability across sites.
  • Must be willing to travel to different locations and possess a valid Indiana Driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Clinical Quality Scope

  • Primary and preventive care quality measures, including chronic disease management and screening performance.
  • Access, continuity, care coordination, and follow-up across the patient care continuum.
  • Clinical documentation, coding support, measure capture, and data integrity.
  • Variation in performance across clinicians, clinics, patient populations, and divisions.
  • Implementation of evidence-based standards and regulatory requirements in ambulatory care.  

Core competencies

  • Senior-level presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical judgment and ability to translate data into action.
  • Knowledge of ambulatory quality measures, reporting requirements, and improvement methods.
  • Ability to influence leaders and teams without direct authority.
  • Strong facilitation, change management, prioritization, and follow-through. 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, health sciences, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, ambulatory operations, population health, clinical performance management, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience as a people leader or senior individual contributor.
  • Experience using quality data to develop, implement, and evaluate performance improvement plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or multi-site ambulatory healthcare organization.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Lean Six Sigma, or another relevant quality improvement credential.
  • Experience with healthcare analytics, quality reporting systems, and electronic health record workflows.
