Receptionist

The Receptionist is a professional and friendly individual responsible for providing excellent customer service to visitors, clients, and employees while managing administrative tasks efficiently.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, clients, and employees as they arrive at the showroom in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate individuals or departments as needed.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and always welcoming.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding availability, pricing, and product information.
- Provide guidance to customers on navigating the showroom and locating specific materials.
- Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and escalate issues to the appropriate department or manager when necessary.
- Schedule appointments for customers to meet with sales representatives, or discuss project requirements.
- Coordinate appointment times with customers and sales team members to ensure availability and accommodate scheduling preferences.
- Maintain an organized calendar of appointments and notify relevant parties of any changes or cancellations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
- Process paperwork related to payments accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate inventory counts and efficient organization of slabs within the distribution center.
- Monitor access to the distribution center and ensure that all visitors sign in and receive appropriate identification badges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including maintaining a clean and hazard-free reception area.
- Report any safety or security concerns to management immediately.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receptionist or customer service role.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc....).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ additional education or training in office administration or customer service.
- Previous showroom experience in receptionist or customer service role.
WORK LOCATION
Onsite – In order to fulfill responsibilities of the Receptionist position, this job is required to work in The Jarrell Company showroom environment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
POSTION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time position that requires working on the weekend.
