Job Title: Project Coordinator, Philanthropy 

Location: Remote, or hybrid if located near Washington DC or NYC 

Reports to: Vice President, Philanthropy 

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 

 

The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) consist of 141 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. The Jewish Federation system, among the top 10 charities on the continent, leads the largest network of volunteer and professional leaders who build and sustain Jewish communities that are healthy, safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive, educated and engaged, involved in the broader community, and deeply connected to Israel and the global Jewish people.    

 

Overview: 
The Project Coordinator will support the execution of strategies and initiatives led by the Vice President of Financial Resource Development (FRD). This role involves overseeing multiple projects, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth execution of key initiatives. The ideal candidate is looking to grow their overall professional skills within the Jewish non-profit space.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the liaison between FRD and other departments. 
  • Manage logistics for various cohorts, including scheduling meetings, coordinating guest attendance, and maintaining Salesforce records. 
  • Assist in coordinating FRD philanthropic initiatives and programs, such as Planned Giving and Endowments, Atid and Amplifier. 
  • Oversee contracts and invoicing for new FRD vendors, ensuring proper approvals and payments. 
  • Support FRD missions from planning to time of travel, including correspondence, registration, and participant needs as well as post-mission follow-up. 
  • Ensure smooth execution of FRD sessions at conferences (e.g., General Assembly, FedPro, JPro). 
  • Upload and manage content on FedHub, ensuring resources are accessible to Federation professionals and meaningful. 
  • Provide administrative support to the VP, including scheduling and expenses. 
  • Assist other departments as needed. 
  • Additional special projects as assigned. 
  • Travel as required, though minimal. 

 

The right candidate has:  

  • 2-4 years work experience, knowledge of Jewish non-profits a plus 
  • A desire to grow and learn in the philanthropy space 
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication. 
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with the Federation system is an advantage.

Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000
