ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Marketplace Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting end to end onboarding of The Knot’s eCommerce marketplace sellers. This role assists in the operational workflows ensuring that products from third-party sellers are successfully listed and sold, all while delivering a positive seller experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Marketplace Operations
- Execute the start to finish item setup of all products for the site, including but not limited to product imagery, product copy, pricing, and taxonomy
- Responsible for ensuring product launches on the site on time and with all applicable selling information (Images, Copy, Color Names, Pricing, etc.) and responsible for site QA post-launch
- Investigate and troubleshoot import issues as they arise, work with suppliers, merchandising and eng teams to correct
- Supports QA and Data Clean up
- Support the maintenance of internal documentation such as onboarding dashboards or seller handbooks
- Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor the progress of new seller onboarding, tracking key metrics such as time to launch, assortment template completion, etc.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, aiming to enhance the efficiency and experience of seller onboarding
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development to ensure timely launches and clear communication with sellers
SUCCESSFUL MARKETPLACE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:
- 2+ years of eCommerce experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Well organized and well versed in Excel/Google sheets
- Analytical and data-driven; experience in web analytics preferred
- Contentful, Magento and or Mirakl experience is a plus
- Excels in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Creative thinker and problem-solver determined to achieve the desired outcome
- Effective written, verbal and cross-functional collaboration skills
