ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Team Lead to lead our New Business and Renewal teams. This individual will be responsible for managing the sales process, ensuring the success of the team members, and driving key accounts to closure. In this leadership role, you will also oversee customer care functions, providing exceptional service and fostering long-term relationships with clients.

As the Sales Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to influence the strategy and performance of the sales teams, driving growth and ensuring that we meet both new business and renewal goals. Your expertise in sales and team management will be essential in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of sales professionals focused on new business and renewals.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to develop team members' skills, increase productivity, and drive results.
  • Set performance targets for both the new business and renewal teams and ensure team members meet or exceed them.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement personal development plans.

 Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Own and execute the sales process for key accounts, from prospecting to closing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients, while also maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure successful renewals.
  • Handle the closing of high-value and strategic accounts, ensuring deals align with the company’s goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to generate quality leads and align sales efforts with broader marketing strategies.

Customer Care:

  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is consistently met by working closely with the customer care team to address client concerns and enhance service offerings.
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer issues or concerns, resolving them in a timely and efficient manner.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and report on team progress toward goals.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the sales pipeline, team performance, and key account status.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within a B2B environment.
  • Strong track record of closing key accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience leading both new business acquisition and renewal teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data to inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
