ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Bump is seeking an experienced Lead Product Manager for Growth, based in Spain, to work with our Barcelona-based team. They will be accountable for reaching and inspiring new audiences and establishing The Bump as the go-to, global offering that empowers every new parent to confidently navigate decisions throughout the parenting journey. This role has a direct impact on The Bump’s ambitious growth plans and reports to the Senior Director of Product and Design.

The product team is committed to collaboration, driving outcomes, and most importantly, creating experiences that millions of users love. The right individual will have a proven track record of delivering exponential user growth for net-new, consumer focused digital products. They will collaborate with The Bump’s leadership team, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners in data, design, engineering, marketing, and to reach millions of families. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Always put our users first.
  • Create sustainable growth by serving a broad range of audiences with optimized content, new experiences, and strategic partnerships.
  • Set the strategic direction in collaboration with the leadership team, data, design, engineering, marketing.
  • Translate user data into actionable, high-yield solutions.
  • Effectively communicate tradeoffs and generate buy-in from executives across the business. 
  • Drive outcome-focused execution - what matters most is how the product impacts our customers and our business.
  • Collaborate with product leaders to ensure cohesion between your products and the overall product experience on The Bump.

SUCCESSFUL LEAD PRODUCT MANAGER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 7-10+ years in product management, with a track record of driving complex, high-impact initiatives.
  • You have a deep understanding of user growth metrics and a strong POV on what to measure.
  • You are experienced at using data to identify compelling opportunities.
  • You have excellent executive communication and persuasion skills and are comfortable presenting to senior audiences. 
  • You have a track record of growing a user base through organic traffic, social, and other leading platforms. 
  • You can set strategic direction, guide ideation, and launch new products and experiences.
  • You always refer to quantitative and qualitative data when making product decisions.
  • You have a portfolio of quality consumer experiences that have solved user needs and driven business growth.
  • You have keen aesthetics and empathy, and a user-centered mentality.
  • You’re a strong and trusted partner to engineers.
  • You’re a natural prioritizer, have great instincts when it comes to what matters, and have made tough but smart trade-offs. 
  • You care about Outcomes over Outputs - goals matter more than the roadmap.
  • You deeply understand our users and put them at the center of everything you do. You aim to serve and delight them every day.
  • You are respectful and act with the highest integrity. 
  • You ask questions to understand a perspective and are comfortable respectfully challenging assumptions.
  • You set clear ambitious goals.
  • You anticipate obstacles, persevere, and are accountable for your commitments. You aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo and know that there’s no such thing as failure if you learn from it.
