ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The experienced and impact-driven Lead Product Manager, Marketplace (you!) will shape the future of The Knot Worldwide’s vendor marketplace – the centerpiece of our global product connecting millions of couples with the professionals who bring weddings to life. As part of the Marketplace zone, you’ll own the strategy for how couples discover, evaluate, and book vendors across categories and geographies, while helping vendors grow their businesses and succeed on our platform. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams in the US and Spain and collaborate with engineering, design, and data science to build a seamless, personalized marketplace experience. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role reporting to the VP of Product and driving a key pillar of our future growth strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inform the long-term vision and strategy for The Knot’s vendor marketplace, spanning discovery, evaluation and booking
- Define a roadmap that balances the needs of couples and vendors, ensuring our marketplace delivers exceptional value to both sides
- Lead development of intelligent, responsive, and personalized vendor discovery and evaluation experiences — including recommendations, filtering, reviews, and comparison tools
- Experiment relentlessly to improve conversion and reduce friction across the couple journey — from finding a photographer to booking a florist or comparing catering packages
- Collaborate closely with design and data science to integrate personalization, AI, and predictive insights that make the marketplace more engaging and effective
- Evangelize the vendor marketplace as a central driver of TKWW’s product ecosystem and a cornerstone of our AI-powered wedding planning future
SUCCESSFUL LEAD PRODUCT MANAGER CANDIDATES HAVE:
- 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of marketplace, eCommerce, or two-sided platform products at scale
- A strong point of view on what it takes to build trusted, high-performing marketplaces that serve millions of users and businesses
- Experience in vendor or service-based discovery flows (e.g., filtering, reviews, comparisons, booking) and related infrastructure
- Familiarity with AI-powered recommendations, personalization, or discovery experiences is a plus
- Highly cross-functional, with exceptional collaboration and communication skills — able to partner effectively with engineering, design, marketing, and analytics teams
- Strong analytical foundation; comfortable using A/B testing and experimentation to drive decisions
- Strategic thinker with a systems mindset; you can connect the dots between long-term architecture and near-term user impact
- Passionate about helping people make confident, personal decisions, whether it’s booking a vendor or building their dream celebration
