
New Business Field Sales Manager, Spanish Market

ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:
The New Business field sales team cultivates strong partnerships with local wedding vendors in the Venue and Catering segment across Spain. The primary responsibility of the New Business Field Sales Manager is to achieve overall new business targets through successful management and development of their team. This position ensures the team is optimized and meets new business productivity, revenue retention, and customer success activity goals. The team size will be between 5 and 7 people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the national team of 5 to 7 sales representatives, with overall management support from the Sales Executive Manager.
- To manage team productivity and KPIs to ensure that input metrics deliver the correct revenue outputs.
- Manage a team of "hunters" focused on new client acquisition through a mix of in-person visits, video calls, and telephone calls.
- Support and develop team members through active listening, empathy, performance monitoring, and two-way feedback.
- Mentor those on the team with online and in-person shadowing and role-playing, providing tailored feedback and development plans to plan for succession within your team.
- Use data insights to identify issues and propose strategic, team-focused solutions.
- Ensure the team executes a high-quality consultative sales process to guarantee a low client churn rate.
- Travel at least 2 weeks per month to meet clients, meet with the team, and for regular meetings at the Barcelona office.
- Control team costs.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:
- Should be based in a major city: Madrid, Barcelona, or Seville.
- Ability to participate effectively in meetings conducted in English.
- Strong results-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience as a manager is required, as well as at least 5 years of experience as a salesperson, strong leadership skills, and a strong sense of team building are essential, with a passion for developing people and promoting ownership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with strategic vision, foster team growth, and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, empathy, active listening, and feedback delivery skills.
- Ability to analyze data and drive improvements.
- B2B, SaaS, and SMB specific sales experience preferred.
WORK MODEL:
This is a remote-first role, however, candidates must be based in Barcelona, Madrid, or Sevilla. You should expect to travel at least two weeks per month within Spain to meet with clients and the team, including regular visits to our Barcelona office for strategic meetings.
