Café & Bar Attendant
We are seeking a Café & Bar Attendant to provide pleasurable dining experiences by ensuring professional, timely, food and beverage service to residents, family members, guests, and/or staff according to established dining standards. Ensures that all food sanitation guidelines are being met. Continuously work towards making an environment that functions smoothly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Welcomes all residents and guests with a warm and friendly greeting
- Assures accuracy of food orders and serves food in a safe, sanitary, timely manner.
- Suggests and describes food and beverage offerings from the menu.
- Expected to work with an espresso machine, and ensure quality products are produced.
- Prepares alcoholic cocktails from recipes, serves alcoholic beverages.
- Provides table service for beverage and food orders. Follows sequence of service standards.
- Retrieves ingredients and prepares food items for service.
- Promptly and accurately closes out checks throughout the day via our Point of Sales System.
- Maintains a neat and orderly appearance in Georgian Lounge.
- Responsible for bussing and following table setting standards.
- Completes related tasks and side work as assigned.
- Demonstrates a positive, respectful, and professional team approach and communicates effectively with residents, peers, and managers.
- Consistently communicates resident and guests concerns to supervisors and/or management.
- Assists in maintaining and achieving departmental sanitation standards and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:
- Good interaction and communication skills.
- The ability to communicate courteously, professionally and politely is required.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
- English language proficiency
- Illinois Food Handlers and TIPS/BASSETT certification will be required prior to the start of employment.
The hourly base wage range is a good faith estimate of the range Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly base wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, geographic location and market changes. The position is also eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans and Employee Appreciation Fund.
Hourly Pay Range
$17 - $18 USD
