Job Title: Marketing Automation Developer
Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking top talent for its Marketing Automation Developer position. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Automation, this position focuses on building, optimizing, and maintaining the technical foundation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This role plays a key part in developing complex audience segments, automating workflows, and designing scalable customer journeys that power acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and deploy dynamic email and SMS campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud using established templates, standards, and campaign requirements
- Schedule, monitor, and execute email sends to ensure timely and accurate campaign delivery
- Support the build and configuration of customer journeys in Journey Builder, ensuring proper configuration of entry sources, activities, and decision splits
- Execute and modify SQL queries in Automation Studio to support data extensions, audience segments, and advanced automations
- Apply AMPscript and dynamic content to deliver personalized, data-driven communications
- Execution of QA processes for email and journey builds, ensuring flawless execution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate campaign requirements into scalable technical builds
- Maintain and document integrations between SFMC and other platforms (CRM, analytics, data pipelines, etc.)
- Contribute to process automation and technical improvements across marketing operations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge as a Marketing Cloud Developer or a technical marketing automation role.
- Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Contact Builder
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, and AMPscript for personalization and segmentation
- Familiarity with API integrations and data management best practices
- Experience with QA, troubleshooting, and debugging in complex marketing automation environments
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
Compensation & Benefits
Individual compensation for this role is dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, skillsets, and applicable laws. In addition to salary, the Foundation offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000 USD
