Senior Analyst

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leverage creating thinking and innovation to deal with uncertain data and ambiguous or complex business challenges
- Develop and leverage actionable analyses to support key company initiatives
- Work with internal and external customers on business problems, developing and maintaining ongoing relationships, and proactively identify new opportunities through research and analysis
- Responsible for partnering with our clients to understand their strategy, shape the questions/analysis, and deliver specific answers and key insights concerning their employee benefits.
- Extrapolate and interpret data, perform statistical analysis, prepare forecasting and trending reports, including the development of professional-level graphs and charts
- Utilize modeling techniques and statistical analysis to recognize trends and patterns in data, draw meaningful conclusions, and develop actionable analyses that drive business decisions

TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to prepare clear and concise documents
- Experience with relevant business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) commonly used to organize and visualize large data sets
- Understanding of analytics and root cause analysis with ability to communicate drivers
- Strong Excel Experience
- Experience with data mining and analytic tools (e.g., SQL, Hyperion/Brio, Access, Excel, SAS, SPSS, etc.)
- Familiar with modeling techniques and statistics (e.g. regression, cluster analysis, etc.)
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree or demonstrated work equivalent
- A minimum of 3-5 years of analytics and root cause analysis experience with understanding and ability to communicate drivers. Experience with health care data or employee benefits considered a plus.
- Familiar with modeling techniques and statistics (e.g., regression, cluster analysis, etc.)
- Demonstrated skills: collaborative, detail-oriented, excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional presentation
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Must be local to our Carmel, Indiana office- onsite 3-4 days per week
- Will need to obtain Life and Health Insurance License within 6 months of hire
