IAM Security Engineer

What does this team do?

The Security Operations team plays a critical role in safeguarding our digital assets through ongoing monitoring and threat response. We specialize in four essential security domains:
  1. Application Security: Ensuring protection throughout the software development lifecycle.
  2. Engineering Security: Implementing technical safeguards and automated solutions.
  3. Identity and Access Management (IAM): Controlling authentication and enforcing least privilege principles.
  4. Data Security: Protecting sensitive information with classification, encryption, and compliance measures.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to lead our IAM and Zero Trust security initiatives. You will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategies to boost our security posture and support cloud and zero trust transformations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Implement and manage IAM systems using SailPoint IdentityNow, including application onboarding and managing lifecycle events (Joiner/Mover/Leaver).
  • Develop role-based access controls, separation of duties policies, workflows, and access certifications.
  • Integrate HR systems (e.g., UKG, Deel) into Okta and IdentityNow for automated provisioning and profile synchronization.
  • Provide technical administration of IAM systems and ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IAM solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities using Axonius SaaS management platform.
  • Migrate security operations infrastructure to AWS using Terraform.
  • Document system configurations, operational procedures, and best practices using Confluence.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contribute to technology procurement.
  • Support compliance policy development and audit activities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in IAM roles, with at least 3 years focused on Okta and SailPoint.
  • Expertise in designing IAM systems for high availability in complex infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of cyberattack strategies and defenses in IAM.
  • Experience with workflow automation and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Certifications such as CIAM, CISSP, or vendor-specific IAM certifications.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing development teams.

Annual Pay Range

$140,000 - $170,000 USD
