Marketing Project Manager, Money Management (Contract)

What does this team do?

The Money Management Marketing Team partners with each business line in the Money Management Business Unit to provide high-quality, compliant, and innovative marketing programs designed to drive the marketing funnel, assist the sales efforts and support the retention efforts across the retail investor audience and the institutional distribution audience. We work hand in hand with our Legal and Compliance team, Wealth Advisors team, Portfolio Managers team, Distribution team, and Client Experience team.

What would you do in this role?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Manager to support our dynamic marketing team, which includes writers, designers, and marketing managers. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in tracking and managing marketing projects using Jira, ensuring smooth communication and workflow. This position involves submitting materials to Legal and Compliance through Red Oak, and managing Distributor reviews as necessary. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. 

But what does this role actually do?

1. Project Management:

  • Track and manage marketing and communication projects from initiation to completion using Jira.
  • Coordinate with writers, designers, and marketing managers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor project timelines, adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.

2. Compliance and Legal Coordination:

  • Submit marketing materials to Legal and Compliance teams through Red Oak for review and approval.
  • Manage any required edits or changes, coordinating feedback between the marketing team and compliance.
  • Respond to and manage renewals generated from Red Oak and manage any required updates of existing content and materials.

3. Distributor Review Management:

  • Facilitate the submission of marketing materials for Distributor review for Motley Fool Asset Management as necessary.
  • Track and implement Distributor feedback, ensuring all necessary revisions are completed.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, ensuring clear and effective communication across all teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Generate reports on project status, timelines, and outcomes for team members and stakeholders.

6. Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to optimize project workflow and efficiency.

What do you need to apply?

  •   5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a marketing or creative environment.
  •   Proficiency in Jira for project tracking and management.
  •   Familiarity with Red Oak or similar Compliance management tools is a plus.
  •   Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  •   Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  •   Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  •   Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  •   Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Compensation: 

Below is our target compensation range. While we are budget conscious, we’re also eager to find the right person for this role, so if your target is outside of this range, please don’t hesitate to apply and we’d be happy to have a conversation. This is a part-time contract role where we are targeting 20-25 hours per week.

Hourly Pay Range

$70 - $85 USD
