As our Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a dynamic portfolio of high-profile events that engage key stakeholders, drive fundraising success, and enhance the Museum’s reputation as a leader in science education and innovation. We need a strategic thinker and operational expert who can seamlessly manage complex logistics, cultivate vendor and partner relationships, and deliver flawless, mission-driven experiences. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that each event aligns with organizational goals and delivers meaningful impact. Your leadership will ensure that every event—from exclusive donor engagements to large-scale public programs—is executed with precision, creativity, and purpose. What You’ll Accomplish
- Develop and execute public-facing and mission-driven events, including educational programs, community engagement initiatives, and institutional celebrations that align with the Center for Public Science Learning.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to design dynamic and interactive programming for science-focused events.
- Partner with peer Event Managers to strategically allocate shared resources and streamline event strategies across the department.
- Oversee the ideation and execution of detailed production schedules, run-of-show documents, and event briefs to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Oversee event logistics, including A/V, decor, catering, and other operational needs, ensuring compliance with Museum standards and sustainability practices.
- Maintain a leadership presence onsite during events, including weekends, evenings and holidays.

- Collaboration: Skilled in working across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Expertise in managing event logistics, production schedules, and vendor relations with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Audience Engagement: Understanding of how to create programs that resonate with diverse audiences, enhancing participation and satisfaction.
Salary Range
$64,000 - $80,000 USD
