Why We Need You
The Associate of Institutional Giving plays a key role in expanding and managing the museum’s corporate, community, and library membership programs. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of institutional members, with a primary focus on library memberships while also supporting corporate and community engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven fundraiser with strong communication, organizational, and strategic outreach skills.
What You’ll Accomplish
Library Membership Development & Stewardship
- Identify, research, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of 300+ library members to drive membership growth and retention.
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to increase engagement with libraries, ensuring sustained participation and satisfaction.
- Generate and track invoices, processing transmittals and payments, maintaining accurate membership record while conducting regular visits, phone calls, and email outreach to engage, solicit, and steward members.
Corporate Membership Development & Stewardship
- Identify, research, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of 50+ corporate members to drive membership growth and retention
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to increase engagement with hotels and universities, ensuring sustained participation and satisfaction.
- Generate and track invoices, processing transmittals and payments, maintaining accurate membership record while conducting regular visits, phone calls, and email outreach to engage, solicit, and steward members.
- Monitor the corporate membership email inbox and phone line to ensure timely and professional responses to member inquiries
- Fulfill all member benefits, including coordinating and distributing printed and digital benefits, managing recognition deliverables, and supporting benefit activation to ensure seamless experience for corporate partners.
- Recruit, schedule, and manage volunteers for key events throughout the year include coordinating day-of logistics, providing clear instructions and support to volunteers, and ensuring a positive and organized experience
Community Membership & Engagement
- Work with the Community Engagement team to identify and engage potential new members and community organizations that align with the museum’s mission.
- Cultivate relationships with community organizations, presenting membership opportunities and benefits.
- Ensure excellent customer service by serving as a primary point of contact for institutional members, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues promptly
Membership Expansion & Strategy
- Research and identify new prospects for corporate, community, and library memberships, developing targeted solicitation strategies.
- Assist in creating promotional materials, proposals, and stewardship reports to communicate impact and benefits to institutional members.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications to develop engagement campaigns, outreach materials, and digital content tailored for institutional members.
Reporting and Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of institutional members, interactions, and benefits in the museum's CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on library & community membership metrics, including revenue, retention rates, and engagement levels.
- Analyze data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
This is a full-time position, working every Tuesday through Saturday.

- Previous experience in fundraising, membership sales, corporate relations, or nonprofit development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in donor outreach and proposal writing.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM/database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) for tracking memberships and engagement.
- Experience with community engagement and corporate partnerships is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range
$60,000 - $65,000 USD
