Construction Field Engineer

About the role:
The Construction Field Engineer will support the construction management team in overseeing various aspects of nuclear construction projects. Responsibilities include development of work / execution plans, coordination with subcontractors, evaluation of cost / schedule, quantity verification / validation, and coordination with subcontractors. The Construction Field Engineer will work closely with experienced construction professionals to further develop their skills in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing construction documents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Assist in conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Prepare progress reports and other project documentation.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Assist in managing project budgets and costs.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field of study.
- 2-6 years of construction project experience.
- Physically able to perform site walkdowns and inspections which include climbing ladders, accessing scaffold, working on elevated platforms, and general walkdowns in and around a construction site.
- Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
- Knowledge of nuclear safety standards and regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft software suite.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
