About the role:
The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in building and scaling the financial planning function at a fast-growing nuclear energy startup. This role will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnership activities to support strategic decisions across the company. The ideal candidate is both highly analytical and an effective communicator—comfortable diving into spreadsheets and presenting insights to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop, manage, and refine company-wide budgets and forecasts in partnership with department leads.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain dynamic models to support scenario planning, strategic initiatives, and long-term financial planning.
- Management Reporting & Analysis: Produce monthly and quarterly reporting packages; analyze variances and provide insights to executive leadership.
- Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic finance partner to department leaders, helping them understand and manage budgets, resources, and investment decisions.
- Tools & Systems: Help select and implement FP&A systems and tools; improve automation and data accessibility across the finance function.
Experience
- Finance Expertise: 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking
- Modeling & Analysis: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with the ability to create dynamic, assumption-driven models
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Proven ability to manage company-wide budgets and forecasting processes
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of startup operations, capital allocation, and financial levers
- Communication: Experience preparing financial insights for executives and board-level stakeholders

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $118,000 - $140,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
