About the role

The Manager, Electrical Services is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and growth of TNC Services' electrical maintenance and field service operations supporting commercial nuclear power plants, renewable and regulated energy (RRE) facilities, and other power generation customers. This role oversees the delivery of high-quality electrical testing, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, power distribution, and outage support services while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with customers, field teams, project managers, and company leadership, the Manager, Electrical Services provides technical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction to support successful outage execution and long-term client partnerships. This position plays a key role in expanding TNC Services' electrical service offerings while driving operational excellence across all projects.

Responsibilities

Operations & Project Leadership

  • Lead the execution of electrical maintenance, testing, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, power distribution, and outage support projects from planning through completion.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical field services, ensuring work is performed in accordance with industry best practices, customer requirements, and applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, resource plans, budgets, estimates, and execution strategies for assigned projects.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and key performance indicators to ensure successful execution.
  • Support proposal development, estimating, bid preparation, and technical reviews for new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, maintenance records, and reporting to support operational and business decisions.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and provide leadership to electricians, field service personnel, subcontractors, and technical specialists during maintenance and outage activities.
  • Mentor and develop technical personnel through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with the Training Team to develop and implement technical and safety training programs while ensuring employees maintain required certifications and qualifications.

Technical Oversight & Compliance

  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable safety regulations, nuclear quality requirements, plant procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and installations to identify hazards, deficiencies, or maintenance requirements, with an emphasis on renewable and regulated energy (RRE) and power distribution systems.
  • Provide technical guidance for diagnosing and resolving complex electrical system issues.
  • Conduct audits and quality reviews to verify compliance with company standards, customer requirements, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving electrical codes, technologies, and industry best practices related to renewable and regulated energy (RRE), power distribution, and industrial electrical systems.

Customer & Business Development

  • Partner with customers to understand maintenance objectives and develop customized service solutions that improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Recruiting, and Project Management teams to ensure appropriate staffing and successful project delivery.
  • Develop proposals, service agreements, and technical solutions aligned with customer needs and company capabilities.
  • Participate in outage planning meetings, customer reviews, industry conferences, and networking events to expand market presence and identify growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting electrical maintenance, testing, installation, commissioning, construction, or outage execution within power generation, renewable and regulated energy (RRE), energy services, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership or project management experience overseeing technical teams or field service operations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including renewable and regulated energy (RRE) infrastructure, power distribution systems, motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, protective relays, motor control centers (MCCs), and industrial controls.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Experience managing complex maintenance or outage projects, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and customer expectations.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear safety culture, quality assurance programs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including extended assignments during scheduled outages.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting commercial nuclear power plants, renewable and regulated energy (RRE) facilities, or utility power distribution systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Master Electrician, or Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring.
  • Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E, NEC, EPRI, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience leading multi-site outage execution teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and supporting business development initiatives.

 

Work Environment & Travel

  • Combination of office, customer site, and field environments, including regular visits to operating plant sites.
  • Travel up to 50% for customer meetings, project oversight, outage support, and industry conferences.
  • May require extended hours, shift work, or on-call availability during planned outages or emergency customer support.
  • Exposure to industrial and radiological environments while supporting nuclear facilities, renewable and regulated energy (RRE) sites, and other power generation assets; strict adherence to PPE, safety procedures, and quality standards is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access authorization for commercial nuclear power plants, as required.
  • Must be able to stand, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in industrial environments as needed.

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $118,000 - $140,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
