Introduction
As an Office Lead with The Oncology Institute, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while making a positive impact on the lives of others!

This position will require a talented individual who is able to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with our team and provide high-quality service to our patients.

Our Office staff are important. When you join us, you will influence how we provide care for our patients while acting as a critical member of the entire care team.

The Office Lead will be responsible for providing mentoring, monitoring, and coaching of the front office team, as well as serving as a liaison between the Operations Manager and the office staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the lead for a team, conducting daily huddles and providing communication to teammates
  • Communication with Central Operations
  • Greeting and checking-in patients, collecting co-pays and payments
  • Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications - health screening
  • Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed
  • Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls
  • Work closely with Eligibility Team for insurance inquiries
  • Help organize and maintain office common areas
  • Promote TOI's culture of exceptional behavioral standards for customer service
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information
  • Assist with coordination of time off and staff coverage needs
  • Handle complex patient situations
  • Train new staff
  • Float to other offices as needed
  • Inventory of supply levels and communication with Operations Manager on supply needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Medical Assistant Diploma 
  • Strong computer skills: google drive, Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Three years’ experience as a front office associate, medical receptionist, or similar
  • Reliable transportation

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
