Data Analyst, The Orchard
You love working with data, extracting value from datasets and telling powerful data driven stories. The Orchard is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to work with our internal teams and management to support our day to day business. As a Data Analyst you will support management, sales and marketing, label management, artist services and content acquisition teams to provide decision support and insight.
What you'll do
- Office- first role, in office 4 days a week.
- Partner with business stakeholders and management to understand key business priorities and translate them into data and insight needs
- Design and execute analysis and synthesise findings into insightful data narratives
- Visualise data to effectively communicate narratives to a variety of internal and external audiences
- Build user friendly and insightful dashboards that serve the needs of internal stakeholders across the Americas
- Support staff members with training on our internal data tools where needed
- Liaise with counterparts, the data engineering team, and stakeholders where required to generate deeper insights and report any data irregularities.
Who you are
- Demonstrated experience in working with data, executing analysis and generating data narratives for a wide audience, gained from working in a similar role or in management consulting
- Experienced in defining business issues and transforming them into executable analysis
- You can confidently present analytical work providing insight and recommendations to a wide ranging audience
- A hunger to learn and grow. You are curious, ask questions, and get excited about new projects
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in Business, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- 3-5 years prior experience working as an Analyst, or in a similar role in an insights or management consulting
- Sound working knowledge of SQL and database structures
- Strong data visualisation skills and experience using tools like Tableau, Looker, Domo
- Experience using scripting languages such as Python for data analysis a plus
- Experience of applying statistical analysis to derive insights a plus
- Strong passion for and knowledge of music
