
Data Analyst
The Orchard is seeking a Data Analyst to join our London based team. We are looking for individuals with an interest in the music industry and a desire to skilfully blend music and analytics to help teams use data effectively in making decisions and provide insightful narratives to our clients on their music.
What you'll do:
Reporting:
- Create and maintain visually compelling dashboards that empower internal teams to enhance the Orchard’s value to labels and artist clients.
- Collaborate with the data team and internal teams to create and maintain datasets optimised for generating insight.
- Support the analytics team in executing ad hoc questions, projects and analyses.
Insights:
- Create compelling analyses and insightful presentations providing actionable insights paired with recommendations.
- Work cross functionally with different business verticals to answer wide ranging questions about music consumption patterns and consumer behaviours.
Relationships:
- Engage and develop relationships with data engineering and client relationship teams to improve data accessibility and insights.
Who you are:
- Bachelors in STEM topic preferable with 1-3 years experience as an analyst, preferably within the music industry.
- Proficient in SQL, familiarity with Python a plus.
- Experience with Looker (LookML experience a plus), dbt, Google Analytics and/or other BI tools such as Tableau.
- Comfortable working with large data sets, with an ability to choose the right modeling approach for the job.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data issues and analysis results in a clear manner to a range of audiences.
- Experience in working with a non-technical audience to shape questions is desirable.
- Ability to prioritise effectively when working across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Passion and interest in the music industry very advantageous
