Role Purpose:

The senior Process Engineering is responsible for process engineering activities to ensure efficient, safe, and optimized manufacturing processes. This role combines technical expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality processes that meet business, safety, and regulatory objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Describe in details the recurring activities of the position based on those of the job profile 
  • Process Troubleshooting: monitor and optimize process performance, implement improvements. 
  • Project Management: managing engineering projects, track timelines and risks. 
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: collaborate with production, quality, R&D 
  • Technical Guidance: mentor engineers and technicians, standardize best practices. 
  • Quality & Compliance: ensure processes meet regulatory and internal quality standards. 
  • Reporting & Analysis: provide regular updates on process KPIs, project status, and corrective actions.
  • Supervision: guide and mentor engineering team members; monitor performance. 
  • Coordination: serve as the technical point of contact for cross-functional teams; prioritize tasks and resources. 
  • Project Management: lead process improvement and scale-up projects; manage budgets, timelines, and risks. 
  • Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: evaluate process metrics, implement improvements, and ensure efficiency and safety. 
  • Production/Operations Teams: ensure smooth implementation of process improvements. 
  • R&D Teams: collaborate on process development, scale-up, and technology transfer. 
  • Quality/Regulatory Affairs: ensure process compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety standards. 
  • Supply Chain/Procurement: coordinate materials and equipment for process changes. 
  • Senior Management: reporting and alignment with company objectives

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Process design, optimization, and validation 
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control), DOE (Design of Experiments), Cpk/Ppk 
  • Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) 
  • Continuous Improvement & Lean/6 Sigma 
  • CAD/CAM/CAE proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) 
  • Leadership & Team Management 
  • Communication Skills 
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking 
  • Project & Change Management 
  • Flexibility and adaptability  
  • Data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, basic Python/R for analysis) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field. 
  • 5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading process improvement projects and team supervision or technical leadership. 
  • Hands-on background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and process validation. 
  • Proficiency with engineering tools (CAD, simulation software, statistical analysis tools such as Minitab/JMP). 
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and shopfloor data analysis. 
  • Demonstrated capability in project management (CAPEX, industrialization, new line setup). 
  • English Mandatory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, or related discipline. 
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) 
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification 
  • Safety or quality-related certifications (e.g., ISO auditor, GMP training) 
  • Previous Battery production experience a plus
  • French and/or German - helpful
