The Recruiter is a strategic Talent Acquisition Partner responsible for designing and executing full-cycle recruitment and sourcing strategies to meet our evolving workforce needs. This role collaborates with department leaders to forecast hiring demand, develop compelling job profiles, build talent pipelines, and ensure an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience. The Recruiter also analyzes key recruiting metrics, drives employer branding initiatives, improves recruiting workflows, and ensures compliance with employment laws. They will play a pivotal role in positioning our organization as an employer of choice and ensuring we attract and retain top talent aligned with our mission and values. 

Job Duties: 

  • Collaborate with department heads and People Team leadership to forecast hiring needs, anticipate workforce gaps, and proactively build talent pipelines for our high-volume hiring need position.
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements, promoting through social media outlets, using newsgroups, and posting to job sites.
  • Qualifying applicants according to desired positions by screening resumes/applications, conducting phone interviews, analyzing responses, and verifying references.
  • Help design and implement sourcing strategies by using job boards, social media (LinkedIn, Indeed, Meta, etc.), networking, passive candidate engagement, employee referrals, and outreach to colleges/community organizations.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, which includes candidate sourcing, screening (phone/video/in-person), assessment of skills/experience/fit, coordinating interviews with hiring teams, facilitating offer letters, and conducting onboarding orientation.
  • Track, monitor, and report on recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, diversity of pipeline, candidate quality, etc.), and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to People Team Leadership.
  • Own the candidate and employer brand experience, ensuring consistent positive experience for candidates, representing the company at career fairs/university events/community outreach, and driving initiatives to enhance our employer value proposition.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows (e.g. refining ATS usage, sourcing channels, candidate communication, interview scheduling).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state (Illinois), and local employment laws and best practices, ensuring recruitment complies with all applicable regulations.
  • Manage special programs as assigned (e.g. campus recruitment initiatives, diversity recruiting efforts, etc.) and ensure consistent program execution and metrics tracking. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2+ years of recruiting/talent acquisition experience with high-volume full-cycle recruitment responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates across multiple channels (active and passive), building pipelines, and managing recruitment end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to partner with hiring managers, influence decision-making, and deliver hiring goals in a timely manner.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment metrics and reporting, and ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, equal employment opportunity, and recruitment best practices applicable to state and local jurisdictions (Illinois specifically).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and high degree of professionalism
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS office suite applications.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, education, or behavioral health environments, ideally multi-site.
  • Experience with employer branding and campus recruiting programs.
  • Familiarity with social sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Employer, Boolean search techniques), and experience with ATS optimization.
  • Passion for or connection with the autism community, demonstrating strong alignment with our values. 

Physical Requirements & Work Environment 

  • This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to regularly communicate with employees, candidates, and external partners through verbal and written means.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as resumes, applications, and reports.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required to retrieve files, or attend meetings and events.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds (e.g. materials for job fairs or presentations).
  • The work environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise level and performed in an office and hybrid setting.
  • Occasional local or regional travel is required to attend career fairs, networking events, and meetings.
