Senior Systems Engineer
OPS Consulting is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work in Laurel, MD.
Job Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer will analyze system requirements and assist in the design and development activities for complex systems. Overall lead of an engineering and development team, the Senior Systems Engineer will guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. This role will develop technical documentation to include new plans, design, and systems into ongoing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyst data from program build activities including programs by focus area.
- Provide trend analysis reports to identify gaps in resources.
- Enhance mapping of resources to programs, high interest areas, threads, strategic initiatives, etc.
- Facilitate the coordination of resource strategies across multiple directorates and organizations.
- Contribute information to responses to RFI's.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. May substitute four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ten (10) years of experience in technical program management and/ or system development team lead.
- Eight (8) years of experience in requirement analysis/ generation and developing systems and software architecture.
- Six (6) years of experience with independent verification and validation of system requirements.
- Knowledge of agency mission systems.
- Knowledge and experience in High Performance Computing, Aerospace, or equivalent programs.
Security Clearance:
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
