Software Engineer

OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work in Hanover, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Experience developing applications using programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, and related scripting languages.
- Experience developing in Windows and UNIX operating environments.
- Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Jenkins and Bamboo.
- Recommend and evaluate new technologies and processes for complex projects
- Analyze user requirements to determine software design and performance specifications.
- Design and implement complex algorithms and database interfaces/queries.
- Manage the integration of legacy software systems, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Make recommendations for optimizing overall performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, system engineers, and hardware engineers to define requirements and integration strategies.
- Experience leading teams, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum fourteen (14) years experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming language (C, C++, C#, Java, Python).
- Strong experience in Windows and UNIX development.
- Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and associated tools
Security Clearance:
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
