Sales Support Specialist

Summary: 

The Sales Support Specialist assists the sales team by handling administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth sales processes and improve productivity. Additionally, the Sales Support Specialist will generate leads, reach out to potential clients, and set appointments for the sales team, playing a key role in driving business growth.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to target businesses (B2B) using provided lead lists.
  • Introduce the company, its products/services, and effectively explain how they can benefit the potential client.
  • Qualify leads by gathering key information, including decision-makers, pain points, and needs.
  • Schedule appointments between qualified prospects and the sales team.
  • Confirm appointments and ensure the client is prepared for the meeting.
  • Accurately input data into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, tracking progress on leads, appointments, and follow-up tasks.
  • Update and maintain lead records to ensure data is current and correct.
  • Follow up with leads who have shown interest, nurturing them to ensure they stay engaged.
  • Use email, phone calls, and other communication channels to re-engage cold leads and move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide context and background on leads before meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with senior team members to share insights, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Participate in sales training and development programs.
  • Apply best practices, and actively seek feedback to improve performance.
  • Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Follow and adhere to the company established sales training, strategies, and processes.
  • Identify new potential clients and opportunities that align with our Ideal Prospect Profile.
  • Utilize company cold calling scripts to roleplay and coach sales reps on how to effectively book appointments and overcome objections.
  • Maintain a professional and positive business relationship with all office personnel.
  • Be on time for all work-related activities, scheduled meetings, presentations, etc.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as directed.

 

Experience and Skills: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and cloud-based tools
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for driving sales
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and manage time effectively
  • Experience in prospecting and appointment setting
  • Resilient, coachable, and adaptable to fast-paced environments

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment: 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, type, and operate office technology such as computers, printers, copy machines, and calculators. 
  • Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds. 
  • Using a telephone for extended periods to communicate with customers.  
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Ability to distinguish colors and engage in repetitive fine manipulation frequently. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment substance screening and background check.
