Marketing & Social Media Specialist - Contract
Mississippi
We are seeking a creative and data-driven Marketing & Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage and execute our content calendar, develop engaging messaging, design eye-catching graphics, and drive results through A/B testing and performance analysis. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a passion for storytelling, branding, and digital engagement. The position may also require travel for content capture and generation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain a dynamic content calendar across multiple platforms.
- Create compelling copy and messaging tailored to target audiences.
- Design graphics, short videos, and other creative content using tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Execute A/B testing on campaigns to optimize engagement, conversion, and brand awareness.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging with organizational goals.
- Travel within Mississippi as needed for content creation and event coverage.
- Stay up to date on digital marketing trends and recommend innovative strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles.
- Proficiency with content creation and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply findings.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and brand voice.

Experience with Google Analytics and social media analytics tools preferred.
- Familiarity with CRMs such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience running targeted A/B testing campaigns.
- Knowledge of paid advertising and influencer collaborations a plus.
- Mississippi-based candidates strongly preferred, though remote applicants will be considered.
- This role starts November for a 4–6-month duration; possible extension.
