Vita Coco is hiring an Influencer Marketing Intern to report directly to the Influencer Marketing Manager. This role will be based out of our HQ-NY Office; we currently have a 3 days-per-week in-office requirement, to work from our Manhattan office.

The Vita Coco Company is hiring for an Influencer Marketing Intern who will be responsible for developing and supporting effective influencer marketing strategies to promote our brand, increase brand awareness, and drive engagement. This role will work closely with influencers, agents, and the content/brand team to execute successful influencer marketing campaigns as well as “always on” opportunities across various platforms and channels. The role sits on the Content Team, an exciting new team that lives as a sub-set of Growth Marketing. The Influencer Marketing Intern's role will be to make Vita Coco a top 10 brand in CPG when it comes to influencer & creator marketing, eliciting that feeling of being everywhere on key platforms like TikTok and Instagram – through a combination of Paid & Earned tactics.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

● Collaborate with the brand and content teams to execute and fine-tune an existing, comprehensive influencer marketing strategy

● Ensure influencer strategy remains aligned with broader brand and content objectives while supporting key business goals

● Continuously identify opportunities to optimize workflows, tools, and processes

● Support innovation in influencer strategy, campaign structure, and creator partnerships

Influencer Sourcing, Identification & Engagement

● Support influencer and creator sourcing across paid, earned, and affiliate initiatives, with a strong focus on campaign-specific talent identification

● Serve as a brand representative in influencer communications, ensuring all outreach aligns with Vita Coco’s brand tone of voice

● Assist in managing relationships between creators, agents, and internal stakeholders

● Own day-to-day management of the in-house influencer platform (GRIN), supporting vetting, contracting, tracking, and reporting

● Support management of the affiliate marketing platform (Superfiliate), including ambassador setup, link management, and performance tracking

Campaign & Program Management

● Assist in planning and managing influencer marketing campaigns end-to-end, including campaign sourcing, goal setting, KPI alignment, briefing support, and execution tracking

● Support approval, oversight, and day-to-day management of the college ambassador program, ensuring proper onboarding, alignment, and performance tracking

● Help manage and scale the affiliate product seeding program, supporting outreach, onboarding, and affiliate growth

● Support rate benchmarking and performance evaluation to ensure campaigns meet or exceed industry standards (engagement rate, CPM, CPE)

  • Actively source new ambassadors and creators, with outreach and discovery as a core responsibility

Relationship Management

● Help nurture and maintain strong relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and agents to support long-term partnerships

● Ensure collaboration is always coordinated with the most relevant contact for each creator or talent relationship

Performance Tracking, Reporting & Analytics

● Pull and organize campaign performance data across influencer, affiliate, and ambassador programs

● Assist with reporting, recaps, and performance summaries for internal stakeholders

● Input data and insights into campaign recap decks and reporting presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity

● Support analysis of campaign effectiveness and optimization opportunities

Trend Monitoring & Industry Awareness

● Stay up to date on influencer marketing trends, emerging platforms, and best practices

● Support the team in identifying new creators, platforms, and partnership opportunities through trend research and market awareness

Qualifications:

● 1-2 years of influencer or social media marketing or relevant agency experience – being an influencer yourself counts.

● Deep understanding of social media platforms and what tactics are successful in growing followers, increasing engagement, and generating impressions

● Passion for bringing a CPG brand to life on social, with a proactive test-and-learn mentality

● Proficient knowledge across platforms; Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to build relationships with internal and external teams

● Self-starter with the ability to follow processes as well as conceive new ideas

● Excellent problem-solving skills and creative forward-thinker

● Trend tracker; someone who knows what is happening across platforms and can identify ways to integrate the brand.

● Great negotiating skills!

● Innovative and creative in approaching ways to expand the business

● Proficient MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

● Willingness to move fast, break some rules, and have some fun!

 

This is a reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

US Pay Range

$20 - $22 USD
