Job brief:
The Weather Company is seeking a passionate AI & Automation Engineer eager to apply artificial intelligence and automation to real-world business challenges. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in AI, data analytics, and automation frameworks who’s looking to grow into enterprise-scale platforms and intelligent business solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers and business stakeholders to prototype, build, and enhance data-driven automations and AI models that improve workflows across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support functions. This role offers exposure to enterprise systems (including Salesforce and related tools) while focusing primarily on AI development, data engineering, and process automation.
The impact you'll make:
- Support the design and development of AI-powered automations that enhance business efficiency and decision-making.
- Build, test, and deploy machine learning and NLP models for real-world applications such as data classification, summarization, and predictive insights.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines that feed AI and analytics initiatives, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate AI models into business systems and automation platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar).
- Assist in developing proofs of concept (POCs) for emerging AI capabilities, including generative AI and conversational assistants.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand process pain points and identify opportunities for intelligent automation.
- Document technical processes and contribute to internal AI/automation best practices.
- Stay current with AI, LLM, and automation technologies (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, UiPath, Zapier, or low-code AI builders).
What you've accomplished:
- 1+ years of experience in AI, data engineering, or automation development (academic, internship, or professional).
- Working knowledge of CRM data models, data quality best practices, and reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with common AI/ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, OpenAI, LangChain).
- Basic understanding of data models, APIs, and integrations between business systems.
- Experience working with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., CRM Analytics, Tableau).
- Exposure to automation or workflow tools (e.g., Airflow, UiPath, Power Automate, Zapier).
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity about AI trends, and the ability to learn quickly in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field.
- Experience or coursework related to machine learning, NLP, or AI agents.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other CRM systems (training will be provided).
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and basic data storage concepts (SQL, Snowflake, etc.).
- Interest in generative AI applications and LLM experimentation (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
Base Salary: $140,000 – $155,000
The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
