Job brief:

The Director / Associate Director, Subscriptions, Membership, & Partnerships will play a critical role in driving the growth, retention, and monetization of the company’s subscription and membership ecosystem. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that increase subscriber value through tiering, benefits, partnerships, and bundled offerings, while also supporting new revenue opportunities through strategic partner relationships.

This individual will work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, Business Development, and Finance to deliver compelling subscription experiences, scalable partnership programs, and measurable business impact. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of strategic thinking, operational execution, and partnership acumen, with a deep understanding of subscription economics and customer lifecycle management.

The impact you'll make:

Subscription & Membership Strategy

  • Support the development and evolution of subscription and membership tiers, pricing, and packaging to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Help define and optimize the value proposition of premium subscriptions, bundled offerings, and add-on products
  • Partner with Product and Marketing teams to align feature development, benefits, and messaging with subscriber needs
  • Monitor subscription performance metrics (conversion, churn, ARPU/LTV) and identify opportunities for growth and optimization

Partnerships & Perks Program

  • Develop and manage a scalable partnerships and rewards program that enhances subscriber value and differentiation
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners that support subscriber growth, retention, and brand alignment
  • Lead partner negotiations in collaboration with Legal and Finance, including commercial terms, revenue share, and promotional commitments
  • Ensure seamless execution of partner offers, including redemption flows, marketing integration, and ongoing partner management

Go-to-Market & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Collaborate with Marketing on subscriber acquisition campaigns, upgrade paths, and partner-led promotions
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product to ensure efficient implementation of subscription and partner experiences
  • Coordinate launch plans for new subscription tiers, benefits, and partnerships, ensuring clear internal and external communication
  • Support testing and experimentation to refine offers, pricing, and positioning

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Define success metrics and reporting frameworks for subscriptions, membership benefits, and partnerships
  • Analyze performance data to assess ROI, inform decision-making, and guide future investment
  • Present insights, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership

What you've accomplished:

  • 6–10+ years of experience in subscriptions, membership/rewards programs, partnerships, digital product, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of subscription business models, pricing strategies, and customer lifecycle management
  • Experience developing and managing partnerships, including negotiations and ongoing relationship management
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have:

  • Must have experience with consumer subscriptions, media, digital platforms, or app-based products
  • Must have experience working across web and Apps
  • Familiarity with bundling strategies, premium upgrades, and value-added perks programs
  • Experience launching new products or programs from concept through execution

Base Salary: $180,000-$220,000

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
