Job brief:

The Associate Growth Marketing Manager is a key player in growing and keeping our mobile subscribers. Unlike a traditional "Performance" role focused on buying ads, this role is about Product-Led Growth. You’ll be working inside our apps and weather.com to figure out exactly when and where to show a user the value of a subscription.

You’ll partner closely with Product and UX to fix "friction points" (where users get stuck) and use tools like Braze to send the right message at the right time. If you love digging into app data and obsessed with the "inner workings" of a subscription business, this is for you.

This is a Product-Led Growth and Lifecycle role. We are looking for someone to optimize the user journey within our apps and weather.com. Please note: This is not a Paid Media or Performance Marketing role (no Facebook/Google Ads management).

  • Help optimize the value proposition of premium subscriptions, bundled offerings, and add-on products.

  • Monitor subscription performance metrics (conversion, churn, ARPU/LTV) and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Identify friction points within the app and strategically surface subscription offers tied to gated content.
  • Partner with Product/UX to optimize in-app conversion paths and reduce drop-off.

Own & Operat (O&O) Channel Strategy

  • Assist in the development and management of marketing channels such as affiliate and owned and operated mediums (email/push/in app).
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential opportunities for subscriber growth.
  • Lead analysis of tactics and initiatives to understand performance and identify opportunities.

Go-to-Market & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on subscriber acquisition campaigns and upgrade paths.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to develop marketing collateral to be deployed across various channels.
  • Assists with the execution of marketing tactics, new subscription tiers, benefits, and partnerships, ensuring clear internal and external communication.

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Build and maintain reports that track progress towards marketing and business goals.
  • Analyze performance data to assess ROI, inform decision-making, and guide future investment.
  • Present insights, recommendations, and progress updates to managers.

What you've accomplished:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, subscriptions, digital products, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics
  • Experience developing and operationalizing process and systems
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and managing up management skills
  • Knowledge of mobile apps and how the App Store ecosystem works
  • Experience supporting go-to-market campaigns for new app launches and product features

Nice to have:

  • Experience with consumer subscriptions, media, digital platforms, or app-based products.
  • Experience in fast-paced organizations such as startups or tech companies.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to take initiative.
  • Experience with Braze (or similar CRM/lifecycle marketing tools) a plus

Base Salary: $75,000 – $85,000

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
