Whom we are looking for:

Think Academy U.S. is looking for a Part-time Math Teacher at Palo Alto (Zipcode 94303) , who is dedicated and enthusiastic to join our team! As a math teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in an in-person setting. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for teaching and love of kids.

What You Will Do:

  • Teach engaging lessons in English for elementary level mathematics to our students using Think Academy curriculum
    • Grade: K-G3
    • Language: English
    • Format: In-person
  • Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that fosters a love of mathematics among a class of about 8-16 students 
  • Identify and address individual learning needs by providing personalized assistance to students
  • Homework grading as well as other related key teaching services
  • Maintain open and proactive communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas of concern
    • Conduct parent-teacher conferences/meetings as needed to discuss student performance
  • Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students 

How You Can Be Qualified:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, all majors are welcome as long as you're passionate in kids and math teaching; Education, or STEM-related majors are preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts and problem-solving techniques
    • Prior math teaching or general teaching experience is not required, but it is highly preferred 
  • Super passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues 
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes
  • Can commit to at least one whole semester teaching without interrupt (Spring semester: Jan - May; Summer: June - Aug; Fall semester: Aug - Dec)
  • Highly responsible and love to get along with kids
  • Familiarity with Math Competitions is a plus
  • Available and willing to work during weekday later afternoon and weekends
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States
  • You must be able to commute to teach in-person at one of our Palo Alto Campus
