Run a Learning Center. Build a Team. Make a Difference.

Are you passionate about education, enjoy working with people, and ready to take the next step in your career?

At Think Zone Learning Center, we're looking for a personable, motivated, and organized individual to lead our Redwood City learning center.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a learning center, support students and families, develop a team of educators, and grow your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

You don't need to have managed a learning center before. If you have experience in education, tutoring, student services, or another people-focused role, along with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you!

About Think Zone

Think Zone Learning Center, part of TAL Education Group, provides in-person K–8 math enrichment programs designed to help students strengthen their academic foundations, build confidence, and develop a lasting interest in learning.

We believe great learning experiences start with passionate educators, supportive families, and strong teams.

What You'll Do

As a Learning Center Manager, you'll oversee daily center operations while building positive relationships with students, parents, and your team.

Lead & Support Your Team

  • Coordinate and support tutors to ensure a positive learning environment.

  • Assist with tutor onboarding, scheduling, and day-to-day team coordination.

  • Foster a collaborative, welcoming, and student-focused center culture.

Build Relationships with Families

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for parents and students.

  • Communicate with families about programs, student progress, and learning needs.

  • Address questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Manage Center Operations

  • Oversee daily center activities, scheduling, and administrative processes.

  • Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming learning environment.

  • Work with the broader operations and teaching teams to continuously improve the student experience.

Support Center Growth

  • Introduce programs to prospective families and help them find the right learning opportunities.

  • Support student enrollment, retention, and parent referrals.

  • Participate in local outreach and community engagement activities.

Previous sales experience is not required. We'll help you develop the program knowledge and enrollment skills needed to succeed.

Who We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills.

  • Foundational K–8 math knowledge and confidence discussing elementary and middle school math concepts.

  • Relevant experience in education, tutoring, student support, or a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers.

  • Organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.

  • Willingness to learn center operations, enrollment processes, and team management.

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Experience coordinating teams, schedules, or daily operations.

  • Background in customer service, community outreach, or family engagement.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Experience with student enrollment or educational program management.

We value potential as much as experience. You don't need to check every preferred qualification to be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $30/hour.

  • Additional Earnings: Enrollment commission and performance-based bonuses.

  • Health Benefits: Health insurance.

  • Retirement: 401(k) with company matching.

  • Paid Sick Leave: In accordance with company policy and applicable law.

  • Scheduled Breaks: Four designated weeks of center closure throughout the year, including breaks around Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunities to develop leadership, operations, and enrollment management skills.

We believe strong managers are developed through experience, guidance, and continuous learning.

You'll have opportunities to build your skills in:

  • Learning center operations and team coordination.

  • Parent communication and relationship management.
