Head of Asia - FX/CFDs

We are seeking an accomplished commercial leader to join us as Head of Asia. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our regional growth strategy, build and manage a high-performing commercial organization, and expand our footprint across key Southeast Asian markets. You will own regional revenue delivery, lead partner and institutional growth, and collaborate closely with global teams to ensure ThinkMarkets' commercial success across the region.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, mentor, and scale the Southeast Asia commercial and client-facing teams, driving performance excellence and accountability. 
  • Build and execute tailored commercial strategies for key Southeast Asian markets, with a focus on revenue growth, acquisition, and retention. 
  • Develop and manage relationships with high-value clients, introducing brokers (IBs), and institutional partners. 
  • Drive structured pipeline management, sales performance analytics, and forecasting across the region. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Research teams to execute localized, data-driven acquisition and retention campaigns. 
  • Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and internal compliance frameworks; uphold ethical sales conduct. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing models to guide commercial strategy. 
  • Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and partnership engagements across Southeast Asia. 
  • Prepare and present regional performance updates, revenue reports, market intelligence, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership. 
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, efficient CRM usage, and customer-first service delivery. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; Master's/MBA is preferred. 
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in FX/CFDs, fintech, or financial services, with at least 3 years in a commercial leadership role covering Southeast Asia. 
  • Proven success in regional business development, partner management, and revenue ownership. 
  • Deep understanding of retail trading, IB models, partner ecosystems, and FX/CFD trading mechanics. 
  • Familiarity with CRM, analytics, and sales tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, and JIRA/Confluence. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, pipeline management, and performance optimization. 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with fluency in English; regional language skills are an advantage. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams, work cross-functionally, and operate in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia as required.
