Assistant Learning Center Manager
Location: Redwood City, CA
Employment Type: Part-Time, In-Person
Schedule: Approximately 25 hours/week, Tuesday–Saturday
Pay: $25/hour
No previous management experience required. We’re looking for motivated early-career candidates who are excited to learn, take ownership, and develop their skills in education, operations, and leadership.

About the Role
Are you a recent graduate or early in your career and looking for an opportunity to build leadership and operations experience?
As an Assistant Learning Center Manager, you'll work closely with the Learning Center Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Redwood City center. You'll gain hands-on experience working with students, families, tutors, and our HQ teams while developing skills across center operations, customer experience, team coordination, community engagement, and business growth.
You don't need previous management experience. We're looking for someone who is proactive, people-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable taking on different responsibilities as needed.
What You'll Learn & Do
Support Center Operations
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Redwood City Learning Center
- Coordinate class schedules, tutors, students, and center activities
- Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and positive center environment
- Support the Learning Center Manager with administrative and operational tasks
- Help identify and resolve day-to-day center issues
Support Students & Families
- Build positive relationships with students and parents
- Help prospective families learn more about Think Zone and our programs
- Support families throughout trial classes, enrollment, and ongoing classes
- Gather parent feedback and help ensure families receive a high level of support
- Help monitor the overall student and family experience
Develop Your Leadership Skills
- Assist with tutor onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing coordination
- Help support and communicate with the center's tutor team
- Learn how to provide feedback and address operational issues
- Develop communication, problem-solving, and people-management skills
- Step in to support center operations when the Learning Center Manager is unavailable
Help Grow the Center
- Support local events, community outreach, and marketing initiatives
- Help build relationships with local schools, families, and community organizations
- Encourage referrals and help introduce Think Zone to new families
- Work with the Learning Center Manager and HQ teams on ideas to improve enrollment, retention, and the overall center experience

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- No previous management experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and proactive
- Able to work approximately 25 hours per week, Tuesday–Saturday
- Able to work in person at our Redwood City Learning Center
- Mandarin proficiency is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in education, tutoring, customer service, retail, sales, operations, internships, or student leadership is a plus
