About the Role
Exciting opportunity to lead the marketing transformational at an AI-powered B2B SaaS leader in Compliance Automation + Audit.
Thoropass is seeking a strategic, innovative, and high-performance Vice President of Marketing to transform marketing, scale our team and help propel our significant growth. This executive leadership role is critical as we expand our brand and GTM strategies from fast-growing tech businesses to mid-market and enterprise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and executing marketing strategies that address both the operational and strategic needs of high-growth companies, with a proven track recording scaling SaaS business from $25M-$50M and $50M to $100M+. This role requires a full-stack, visionary leader who can drive demand generation,turbocharge product marketing, elevate our brand position, speed processes, boost operational agility, grow and optimize our funnel and conversion processes, and ensure precision follow-through, ROI and accountability for the entire team and budget.
You will work cross-functionally with our Sales, Product, and Partnerships teams to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan, designed to accelerate our expansion into new markets, build our enterprise presence, and drive long-term revenue growth. As a data-driven, hands-on operator and innovator, you will leverage your deep understanding of the entire marketing equation, drive performance marketing, apply insights and analytics to continually optimize the funnel, improve conversion rates, and ensure a measurable ROI from every campaign, program, tactic, or event.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop & Lead Strategic Marketing Initiatives: Drive the evolution of Thoropass’s marketing strategy to ensure the company effectively addresses both the needs of our current and new enterprise markets. This includes driving brand differentiation and upmarket positioning, crafting compelling value propositions, communications, messaging, and channel strategies tailored to our customer and prospects.
- Drive Demand Generation with Measurable Impact: Own the full demand generation lifecycle. From strategy, tactic, event or campaign creation, to tracking, to systematic follow-up through, ensure that the pipeline is growthing, nurtured, and converting efficiently and effectively. Establish clear processes across the buyer’s journey, improving engagement, activation, and conversion at every stage of the funnel.
- Build & Lead a World-Class Marketing Team: Scale, recruit and develop a marketing team that is equipped to handle the demands of a growing company. Provide mentorship, performance feedback, and regular career development opportunities. Align marketing objectives with broader company goals.
- Innovate with Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics, GenAI tools and customer insights to evaluate the performance of marketing programs and guide strategic decisions. Use insights to refine messaging, optimize tactics, the marketing funnel, and measure the success of every marketing initiative.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Partnerships to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with sales objectives. Develop go-to-market strategies, transformation initiatives, campaigns and product positioning, value props and messaging that resonate with enterprise customers.
- Track & Optimize Key Performance Metrics: Define and own key performance indicators (KPIs) that ensure that all marketing activities have a measurable impact and directly contribute to revenue growth. Be accountable for measuring, tracking, and reporting on performance, continuously optimizing based on data, insights, and learning.
- Lead the Charge in Marketing Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve in emerging marketing trends, GenAI, technologies, and best practices. Continuously experiment with and implement new marketing initiatives that can drive growth and differentiate Thoropass in the competitive landscape.
About You:
- Proven Leadership Experience: You are a seasoned marketing leader with a track record of scaling teams and executing successful strategies in high-growth, early to mid-stage B2B SaaS or data companies, from $25M-$50M and $50M to $100M+.
- Strategic Thinker with Operational Chops and Tactical Expertise: You have the ability to think long-term while managing the day-to-day operations and demands of driving demand, building brand, improving content and communications, elevating product and market positioning, nurturing leads, and optimizing the marketing funnel.
- Enterprise-Focused: You have experience transitioning marketing strategies to effectively target and engage mid-market and enterprise accounts, with the ability to quickly adapt and scale for larger markets.
- Process-Oriented with Follow-Through Expertise: You understand the importance of executing on the details and ensuring that every campaign, tactic, programs or event has a positive ROI, a clear plan for lead follow-up, nurturing, and conversion into pipeline (both marketing sourced and marketing influenced)
- Innovative and Data-Driven: You are passionate about new technologies and innovative marketing strategies. You are comfortable leading your team through data-driven decisions, measuring success, and using insights to adjust tactics quickly.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of executive marketing leadership experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, info security or data companies, with a proven track record of successfully leading marketing strategy and execution for revenue growth beyond $50 million
- Experience transitioning or scaling a company upmarket into the enterprise market, and successfully executing on those strategies.
- Full stack marketing, with expertise in demand generation, funnel optimization, product marketing, operations and multi-channel marketing, with hands-on experience using modern marketing tools and technologies.
- Proven ability to establish performance target, exceed industry benchmarks measure and track campaign effectiveness, with a clear ROI focus on converting leads into sales.
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; a track record of building, coaching and managing high-performing teams.
- Ability to design, execute, continually improve and optimize scalable marketing processes to drive measurable business results.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $220,000 - $275,000 plus performance-based bonuses, based on experience
