About the Role

Thoropass is seeking a highly strategic and innovative Vice President of Marketing to lead the evolution of our marketing strategy and scale our team. This leadership role is critical at a pivotal time as we expand our brand and GTM strategies from fast growing tech businesses to enterprise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and executing marketing strategies that address both the operational and strategic needs of high-growth companies. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive demand generation, optimize conversion processes, and ensure follow-through and accountability after campaigns and events.

You will work cross-functionally with our Sales, Product, and Partnerships teams to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan designed to accelerate our transition into new markets, build our enterprise presence, and drive long-term revenue growth. As a data-driven innovator, you will leverage your deep understanding of performance marketing and analytics to continually optimize the marketing funnel, improve conversion rates, and ensure a measurable ROI from every campaign and event.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop & Lead Strategic Marketing Initiatives: Drive the evolution of Thoropass’s marketing strategy to ensure the company effectively addresses the needs of our new enterprise market. This includes crafting compelling value propositions, messaging, and channel strategies tailored to larger accounts.
  • Drive Demand Generation with Measurable Impact: Own the full demand generation lifecycle. From event or campaign creation to systematic follow-up on generated leads, ensuring that the pipeline is nurtured, tracked, and converted to sales. Establish clear processes for post-event follow-ups, improving conversion at every stage of the sales funnel.
  • Build & Lead a World-Class Marketing Team: Scale and develop a marketing team that is equipped to handle the demands of a growing company. Provide mentorship, performance feedback, and regular career development opportunities. Align marketing objectives with broader company goals.
  • Innovate with Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics to evaluate the performance of marketing programs and guide strategic decisions. Use insights to refine messaging, optimize the marketing funnel, and measure the success of every marketing initiative.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Partnerships to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with sales objectives. Develop go-to-market strategies for new initiatives and products that resonate with enterprise customers.
  • Track & Optimize Key Performance Metrics: Define and own key performance indicators (KPIs) that ensure marketing activities directly contribute to revenue growth. Be accountable for measuring, tracking, and reporting on performance, continuously optimizing based on data.
  • Lead the Charge in Marketing Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve in emerging marketing trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously experiment with and implement new marketing initiatives that can drive growth and differentiate Thoropass in the competitive landscape.

About You:

  • Proven Leadership Experience: You are a seasoned marketing leader with a track record of scaling teams and executing successful strategies in high-growth, early to mid-stage B2B SaaS or data companies.
  • Strategic Thinker with Tactical Expertise: You have the ability to think long-term while managing the day-to-day demands of driving demand, nurturing leads, and optimizing the marketing funnel.
  • Enterprise-Focused: You have experience transitioning marketing strategies to effectively target and engage enterprise accounts, with the ability to quickly adapt and scale for larger markets.
  • Process-Oriented with Follow-Through Expertise: You understand the importance of executing on the details and ensuring that every campaign or event has a clear plan for lead follow-up, nurturing, and conversion into sales.
  • Innovative and Data-Driven: You are passionate about new technologies and innovative marketing strategies. You are comfortable leading your team through data-driven decisions, measuring success, and using insights to adjust tactics quickly.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or data companies, with a proven track record of successfully leading marketing strategy and execution for revenue growth.
  • Experience transitioning or scaling a company into the enterprise market, and successfully executing on those strategies.
  • Expert in demand generation, funnel optimization, and multi-channel marketing with hands-on experience using modern marketing tools and technologies.
  • Proven ability to measure and track campaign effectiveness, with a clear focus on converting leads into sales.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to design, execute, and optimize scalable marketing processes to drive measurable business results.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $220,000 - $275,000 plus performance-based bonuses, based on experience
