We’re looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to lead foundational work across our cloud infrastructure, developer experience, and platform systems. This is a highly impactful role that combines deep technical expertise with systems thinking, mentorship, and collaboration across multiple engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain our AWS-based cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments to ensure smooth and resilient operations.
  • Drive automation and CI/CD improvements that accelerate developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design and enable high-quality, maintainable solutions that align with our platform vision.
  • Champion best practices in cloud security, observability, and performance monitoring.

  • Mentor and elevate others, sharing your expertise to help teams design for scale, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Look ahead 6–12 months, proactively identifying platform risks and leading initiatives that improve resilience, developer experience, and scalability.
  • Contribute to the technical direction and architectural evolution of our platform, influencing long-term decisions across R&D.
  • On-call rotation

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of work experience in Software Development, Platform Engineering, and/or Cloud Infrastructure
  • Deep experience designing and operating large-scale cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Proven track record of influencing and driving improvements in reliability, performance, and developer experience across multiple teams.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable direction for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices organization-wide.
  • A collaborative, open approach to solving problems and sharing knowledge.
  • A growth mindset, you see ambiguity as an opportunity to create clarity and impact.

Salary range:

The hiring range for this role is $146,000 - $172,000. Your specific compensation within this range is determined based on your job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and our internal equity assessment.
