Lead Product Manager

Thoughtworks is looking for a seasoned Product Lead, who is a trusted advisor to our clients, drives commercial results and supports them on their journey to become customer-centric, outcome focussed and value driven, alongside growing the Thoughtworks business. 

Job responsibilities

  • You will develop an understanding of client problems, provide advisory services and capability uplift.
  • You will collaborate with your team and stakeholders to think big and imagine future solutions that solve the customer's problems and deliver value for your client's business.
  • You will build a shared product vision and then shape, define and communicate short and long-term strategies that contribute to the client's vision, business strategy and goals.
  • You will cultivate meaningful relationships with client stakeholders, bridging technical and business worlds and ensuring ongoing buy-in and support.
  • You will create and manage the product or portfolio roadmap: effectively prioritize business opportunities from a wide range of inputs, understand and prioritize this work so your team is always working on the most impactful initiatives.
  • You will track industry trends and the competitive landscape, undertake formative research and data analysis and generate insights.
  • You will constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the customer problem and delivered on the business opportunity, through quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • You will drive the overall product development lifecycle, utilizing lean and agile approaches to pilot products quickly, get feedback, iterate, and rapidly launch roadmap increments that deliver undeniable value.
  • You will create points of view, case studies and other content through insights on client needs and solutions, alongside creating assets and accelerators to create repeatability of practices which will help us to scale our efforts.
  • You will be involved in pre-sales, creating proposals and pitches, shaping engagements for clients and helping to educate both clients and colleagues about the value of our services.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • You have a track record of delivering successful products to market.
  • 6+ years of product experience, overseeing multiple product teams and/or a sizable value proposition.
  • You have deep expertise in the end-to-end product development lifecycle, agile and lean software development practices.
  • You're able to clearly define a value proposition and seamlessly articulate it, generating support and buy-in from all relevant stakeholders.
  • You evangelize product thinking, leveraging your extensive expertise to coach product teams, introduce best practices, identify roadblocks and generate solutions for resolving them quickly.
  • You have expertise and prior background in leading new ideas from concept to launch and scale including go-to-market strategy.
  • You are adept at leveraging data to improve one's understanding of user needs, product performance and value created for the customer.
  • You are skilled at product discovery as much as product delivery and have a deep understanding of user research and design methods and processes.

Professional Skills

  • You can work at company, portfolio and product level — defining and executing a strategy, shaping a vision and translating it into a roadmap with clear business and customer value-based measures of success.
  • You’re skilled at building relationships with senior executives and confident in driving conversations at the intersection of technology and business.
  • You enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to determine the best product-market fit and define a product roadmap.
  • You naturally create an effective collaboration between Thoughtworks and client teams by encouraging open communication and advocating for shared outcomes.
  • You evangelize product thinking, leveraging your extensive expertise to advise stakeholders, coach product teams, introduce best practices, identify roadblocks and generate solutions for resolving them quickly.
  • You have a bias for action, and can break down complex problems into tangible steps.
  • You enjoy motivating committed, smart people to do the best work of their careers.
  • You have strong storytelling skills and can create compelling narratives for the problem at hand and also elevate the problem space to build a bigger picture.
