Partner Business Development Manager - Software and Platform

As the Partner Business Development Manager for our Software and Platform market, you will play a key role in leading and driving co-sell opportunities with Thoughtworks’ most important ecosystem partners. You will influence joint market strategies, engage with senior sales leaders, and deliver measurable growth through deep, hands-on co-selling of our industry service offerings.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and deliver joint market development plans with key ecosystem partners.
- Build and maintain strong, high-value relationships with partner sales executives and sales teams.
- Identify new opportunities, growth paths, and accounts by leveraging partner channels.
- Scale our industry service offerings and execute targeted strategies to identify, validate, and close new business opportunities.
- Take accountability for business growth, revenue targets, and technology adoption metrics.
- Integrate Thoughtworks offerings into client-facing engagements and proposals.
- Guide and coordinate cross-functional teams across Thoughtworks.
- Mentor colleagues, foster internal talent, and contribute to our community.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in the cloud and AI ecosystem, with practical understanding of architectures, services, and go-to-market strategies.
- Experience building the foundational elements of partner-led sales and collaborating cross-functionally to develop co-sell strategies and offerings.
- Strong consultative sales and business acumen to position Thoughtworks as a leading technology partner.
- Advanced negotiation skills for structuring large, multi-partner engagements.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing joint go-to-market strategies with partners.
- Exceptional client relationship skills with the ability to influence C-level and senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modeling for partnerships and enterprise offerings.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical vision and commercial value to varied audiences.
- Leadership presence to mentor others, drive collaboration, and set high standards.
Professional Skills
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Progressive experience in business development, technology consulting, or strategic alliance management.
- Proven track record in a senior sales, channel, or alliance leadership role with a focus on driving co-sell motions and achieving joint success with ecosystem partners.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, build, and grow C-level relationships within large enterprises, with experience closing complex, multi-party deals.
- Practical experience with cloud and AI platforms and services, including partner programs and go-to-market models.
- A collaborative mindset, integrity, and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
