Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Infrastructure Engineers help clients build and evolve systems that client organizations use to deliver and run software. They are comfortable working within teams of people with diverse roles and levels of experience to find solutions that meet the needs of the organization. They combine technical expertise and understanding with consideration of different situational needs. They champion technical quality and effective ways of working as a means to better outcomes for clients, rather than an end in themselves. They help clients to understand agile ways of working and DevOps as a mindset for collaboration.
Job responsibilities
- Cluster Management & Tuning: Own the day-to-day health of our Kubernetes GPU clusters. You will be the go-to person for fine-tuning resource limits, node affinity, and scaling policies for AI workloads.
- Ingress & Gateway Management: Build and manage the secure gateways that allow AI agents to "call" enterprise tools, ensuring proper authentication, rate-limiting, and logging are in place.
- Data Store Operations: Understands vector databases and caching layers. Ie: Neo4j
- Automated Delivery Pipelines: Lead the development of our CI/CD pipelines
- Platform Engineering: Should understand how to manage and run an infrastructure platform.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- Cloud: GCP or AWS or Azure (having 2 cloud providers knowledge would be preferred)
- Hands-on Kubernetes: Deep experience managing production Kubernetes environments (EKS or GKE, or AKS) with a focus on GPU scheduling and container networking.
- IaC & Automation Expert: Mastery of Terraform (must), or/and Ansible. You believe that if a task is done twice, it should be automated.
- AI/ML Ops Familiarity: Understanding of ML workloads—you understand model serving, inference latencies, and the basics of how LLMs consume resources
- Reliability & Monitoring: Proven ability to build "obsessive" observability. You know how to use Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to track not just system health, but agent performance.
- Security Implementation: Strong understanding of IAM, VPC security, and secrets management in a cloud-native context.
- CI/CD: Used CI/CD tools for automated deployment of Infrastructure. Ie: GitHub Actions, Circle CI.
Professional Skills
- Mentorship & Guidance: You enjoy coaching more junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence within the infra team.
- Execution Focus: You are highly organized and capable of breaking down complex architectural plans into manageable tasks for the team.
- Operational Ownership: You take pride in "owning" the platform. When a system is down or an agent loop is failing due to infra, you lead the charge to fix it.
- Collaboration: You work effectively with the Infrastructure Architect to provide feedback on designs and with the Engineering Manager to ensure delivery timelines are met.
- Pragmatism: You know when to build a perfect solution and when to ship a "good enough" solution to keep the platform moving.
- Devops & platform Engineering : Understand the difference between platform engineering and devops and be ready to wear any cap based on the requirements.
