About The Role

The Browser Insights product simulates the user interactions with a website or application, collecting detailed metrics and waterfalls that tightly correlate with the underlying network and internet issues. The team helps quickly isolate the root cause of application downtime. We thrive in connecting the browser sandbox and data pipelines, to deliver network assurance at scale.

What You’ll Do

Do you like to solve puzzles and guide technical decisions? As an Engineering Leader, you will collaborate with the team to develop new features, update the architecture, and improve the overall scope of the product.

Communicate and coordinate cross-team initiatives, guaranteeing accurate technical decisions and companion documentation are made. You will identify, flag, and coordinate dependencies in large-scale projects. You will be directly responsible for the team's performance, growth, and development.

Qualifications

  • Guided a team of 4 - 8 engineers, and have 3+ years of software engineering management experience
  • Provide strong technical vision for your team and ensure consistent delivery of objectives
  • Experience formulating a team's technical strategy and roadmap and partnering optimally with several other teams to execute shared goals
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability building enterprise software products, especially those that use complex distributed system architectures
  • Contribute to building products, and have optimally taken significant enhancements and features from inception to production
  • Understand how to balance tactical needs with strategic growth and quality-based initiatives that can span multiple quarters
  • Expertise communication skills and comfortable in technical conversations
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Write code with modern frontend technologies, such as TypeScript, VueJS/ReactJS
  • Experience measuring frontend application performance
  • Possess proven knowledge of Java and microservices
  • Able to navigate the nuances of sophisticated distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • Experience with browser developer tools (Chromium)

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
