Job Overview:
You will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process of our web-based checkout page builder. Your primary focus will be on manual QA, including writing and executing test cases, reporting bugs, and coordinating issue resolution. You will also manage the lifecycle of Jira tickets to ensure that defects are addressed in a timely manner and that our development cycle runs smoothly. As we scale, you will have the opportunity to create and maintain an automated smoke test suite to reduce testing overhead and improve efficiency.
What Your Work Will Entail:

Manual Quality Assurance
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Conduct thorough manual testing (functional, regression, UI/UX, etc.) of the checkout page builder to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Validate and ensure that bug fixes and new features meet acceptance criteria prior to release.

Issue & Test Case Management
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure issues are accurately described, reproducible, and properly tracked.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation of test results, issues, and resolution steps.

Release & Smoke Testing
- Perform smoke tests and regression tests in staging and production environments around release timelines to ensure stable and reliable rollouts.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during release cycles to provide timely QA sign-offs.

Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive or time-consuming test cases and build out an automated smoke test suite over time.
- Use appropriate tools (such as Selenium, Cypress, or other frameworks) to develop and maintain automated tests.

Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Development and Product teams to understand technical requirements, product goals, and usability needs.
- Communicate test results and provide detailed feedback on project readiness, potential risks, and release confidence.
What You Bring To This Role:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Professional or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in manual testing, writing test cases, and defect tracking.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools, such as Jira.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and quality assurance best practices.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
