Job Overview:
At Thrivecart, we empower thousands of entrepreneurs to sell billions of dollars worth of products online. Our platform is the engine behind their success, and we're looking for a CRM pioneer to build the communication engine that fuels our next stage of growth.
We’re seeking a strategic owner to architect our entire customer communication strategy. This isn’t about just managing existing campaigns; it’s about crafting the entire journey from lead to loyal advocate. Your first challenge will be to lay the foundation for this vision by leading the upgrade of our tech stack, which will unlock new capabilities for personalization and growth.

Responsibilities:
Your core mission is to leverage our owned channels (email, in-app, SMS, etc.) to drive revenue, retention, and upsell opportunities across our multi-brand ecosystem.
- Architect the Full Customer Lifecycle: This is your primary focus. You will design and build the entire customer journey, leveraging deep product usage data and custom database attributes to create highly personalized, automated experiences. This includes:
- Lead Capture & Nurture: Devising creative strategies to capture new leads and engineering intelligent nurture streams for both in-market and out-of-market prospects.
- Activation & Onboarding: Creating powerful, multi-channel onboarding sequences that drive users to their "aha!" moment faster.
- Retention & Churn Reduction: Identifying at-risk segments and building automated campaigns to re-engage them and proactively reduce churn.
- Expansion & Upsell: Developing strategies to drive expansion revenue by promoting upgrades, new features, and cross-brand opportunities.
- Build Our New CRM Foundation: To power the strategy above, you will lead the critical project of migrating our systems from HubSpot and Drip to a modern, sophisticated marketing automation platform (e.g., Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo). You'll manage the evaluation, implementation, and data migration to build our new stack. A key goal of this project will be to create a data and platform architecture that prepares us to leverage AI for predictive segmentation and personalization in the future.
- Orchestrate Multi-Channel Campaigns: You'll be our expert in leveraging the right channel for the right message. This includes email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app messaging (using tools like Appcues) to create a cohesive and personalized customer experience.
- Be the Engine of Data-Driven Growth: You will live in the data. You’ll relentlessly A/B test, analyze campaign performance, and use your insights to report on what's working and continuously optimize our approach.
Required Skills:
- We're looking for someone with 5+ years of demonstrable experience in a similar, high-impact role.
- You've led a CRM migration before. You have proven, hands-on experience moving a company from platforms like HubSpot or Drip to a modern system similar to Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo, or similar.
- You see CRM as a growth lever. You think in terms of revenue, lifetime value, and churn reduction not just open rates and click-throughs.
- You're a strategic doer. You love building the high-level plan, but you're equally happy getting your hands dirty in the tools to build campaigns, write copy, and pull the data yourself. This is a hands-on role.
- You own your results from start to finish. You are obsessive about measurement and are the first to share what’s working and what’s not. You celebrate the wins and treat losses as learning opportunities for the whole team.
- You're a natural collaborator. You understand that lifecycle marketing doesn't exist in a vacuum. You have a track record of partnering closely with Paid Media, Content, and Product Marketing teams to create cohesive customer journeys and amplify results across the board.
- You're both technical and creative. You can architect complex automation workflows but also have a knack for compelling copy and understanding customer psychology.
- You thrive in autonomy and ambiguity. You see a goal, identify opportunities, and build the plan to get there without needing step-by-step instructions.
Nice to Have Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree is great, but your proven track record of building and scaling a CRM function is what truly matters.
